THE TRICK IS
NOT THE MAGIC

It's not really about me.

I’m an accidental magician. I wanted to be an engineer a sportsman or an actor. But that’s life, and life has a way of surprising you. So here I am. Pleased to meet you.

What I’ve discovered over the last 30 years from performing all over the world to every possible type of audience, is that life and performance is always about the other person. Or at least it should be.

Magic is my medium and not my life. I was just lucky enough to discover that I have a talent to use it to connect with an audience. Early on in my career I wanted to be recognised by my peers for the work that I did, for the tricks. I did that, I won awards. But that’s not important now. I’ve proved myself to them, now I have to convince you.

I still do the tricks and I do them better than most, but that isn’t enough. What I have is experience, insight and a real desire to engage. What I want is to create an unforgettable experience for you and for your audience.

30 years ago I was a street performer travelling the world, working on street corners and at festivals. I sought out other performers, searching for mentors and inspiration. I worked alongside legends and heroes. I soaked up everything. Now I’m a father, and a journeyman. Still travelling the world, but the street corners have been replaced by beautiful theatres and stunning venues. The festivals have become conferences and corporate events and I’m humbled to know that people now seek me out.

If I can help you, entertain you or be a part of your story then I’d love to hear from you.
